Privacy Policy — Lorecount: Lorcana Companion

Lorecount: Lorcana Companion ("the app", "we") is built privacy-first. We do not run our own servers, we do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking, and we do not sell or share your data. This policy explains exactly what the app does with information.

Summary: Everything you create in the app stays on your device. The app only talks to the internet when you use the Events features, search for stores, or download the card catalogue — and even then nothing about you is stored by us.

This policy covers both the iOS and the Android version of the app.

1. Information stored on your device

Your scores, game timer, dice settings, decks, game history, tile colors, favorite stores, downloaded card data, and app preferences are stored locally on your device only. This information is never uploaded to us or anyone else. Deleting the app removes it.

2. Signing in to Events (tournaments)

The Events features connect to the Ravensburger Play tournament platform, operated by Ravensburger. To use them you sign in with your existing Ravensburger Play account:

• Your email and password are sent once, over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, directly to Ravensburger Play to log you in.
• We never store your password. It is not saved to disk, not logged, and not retained after the login request.
• When login succeeds, only an opaque session token is stored securely on the device — in the Keychain on iOS, in the system-backed encrypted keystore on Android — so you stay signed in. Signing out, or deleting the app, removes this token.
• While signed in, the app fetches your events, pairings, standings, and registrations from Ravensburger Play to display them. This information is shown live and is not stored by us.

Your Ravensburger Play account is managed by Ravensburger, not by us. Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policy.

3. Card data

The card catalogue and card images come from Lorcast, a public Lorcana card API. No account is required and the app sends no information about you with these requests — only the query for the cards themselves. The catalogue is cached on your device so the app works offline.

4. Store search

When you search for stores by city, the text you type is sent to a geocoding service to convert it into a location, which is then used to find nearby stores via Ravensburger Play. On iOS this is Apple's geocoding service; on Android it is Photon (photon.komoot.io), which serves OpenStreetMap data. We do not access your device's GPS location.

5. No tracking or analytics

The app contains no advertising, no analytics, no third-party tracking SDKs, and no cross-app or cross-site tracking. We do not build a profile of you.
